That’s why experts in the car audio industry recommend starting “from the source”, that is, simply replacing the car radio with state-of-the-art equipment, with the best possible drive, an analog-to-digital converter and a laser – therefore a very important element for CD listeners. Of course, such equipment must be compatible with the system already installed in the car, that is, cooperate with the steering wheel buttons, while providing separate adjustment from the sound sent to the subwoofer. This replacement – even without replacing the factory speakers – usually achieves the effect of a great improvement in sound quality. If, on the other hand, it is combined with the replacement of the speakers with higher quality products, the effect becomes even more distinct and more than once fully satisfies the expectations of a sophisticated and demanding user of the audio system.

This element, as well as the car radio, affects the quality of the sound generated by the car audio system. Due to the range of frequencies generated, they are most often divided into woofers, midranges, and tweeters, although car manufacturers also often use full-range speakers, i.e. those that cover all tones simultaneously, which automatically reduces the quality and selectivity of the sounds generated, but also helps to reduce costs. A typical woofer has a cone with a diameter of at least 25 cm, a midrange speaker is typically characterized by a 13 or 16.5 cm cone, while tweeters, called “whistles”, are characterized by small cones – their typical diameter is less than 5 cm.
